The Last Post of Silver Doctors – Thank You For Your Support!

For over ten years, SilverDoctors.com has been serving the community in providing free commentary and analysis of the precious metal markets. When we first launched in January 2011, SD was one of the first blogs to bring together an underserved community of precious metal enthusiasts. Nearly every article we would release would receive hundreds of comments from thousands of readers with unique perspectives and opinions. The excitement on the blog as silver spiked to nearly $50 an ounce 3 months after website launch was unprecedented. The website quickly grew to receive over 3 million pageviews a month from readers around the globe and connected them to many of the most respected names in the industry. While we were certainly having fun, display advertising alone wasn’t going to be able to replace the income the founders were receiving from their pharmacist day jobs. After a survey of readers on the blog which asked if anyone would be interested in conducting a group buy to get lower prices on bullion, it was apparent that there was enough demand (over $300,000 on the first group buy) for us to start a precious metal business. The precious metal business has now grown into a top three precious metal e-commerce company in the world with over $3 billion in precious metal sales. That business continues to grow and hopefully will continue to grow well into the future.

The blog and media space as a whole has evolved over the last decade and especially as it relates to alternative news websites. The precious metal space enthusiasm as it relates to blog content and viewership continues to decrease even though demand for physical metal has never been greater. Along the way, SilverDoctors.com has remained true to our mission of sound money education and calling out policies and legislation that go against these fundamental monetary principles. Our message has often gone against the powers that be who control the internet. Just like many other alternative news websites, the only way you are likely reading this now is if you typed the domain name into your browser or our exact name into the search engine. Shadow banning is a practice which is now generally accepted by virtually everyone as a means to control the narrative by big tech companies and this website was one of the first on the list in 2017. While our mission of our founders will not end with this post, it is with a sorrow filled heart to inform the community  this will be the last post of SilverDoctors.com. We truly appreciate each and every one of you who have been loyal to following our blog. We will never forget the support you have given us over the years whether that be through contributing a comment, a donation, or just reading the blog daily.
